Julius Kuhl
Kuhl is head of the personality section at the department of psychology at University of Osnabrueck/Germany (since 1986). After several years of research as research fellow at the Max-Planck-Institute for Psychological Research in Munich (1982-86) and as a visiting scientist at the US universities in Michigan and Stanford, as well as in Mexico, he explored the functional basis of personality development, and created the world-wide acknowledged Personality Systems Interaction Theory (PSI) integrating modern scientific evidences from motivational, developmental, cognitive and neuropsychological research. Using PSI and its accompanied assessments, a research group (supervised by Kuhl since 2008) at the Lower Saxony Institute for Early Education and Development even aims to bridge the gap between various abilities and the scholastic performance in young children.
